So, I've started reading a few friends from works blogs (Leah, Lacey and Jen) and that got me thinking that I should start my own blog! I think this will be a great way to document Madeline's development as well as keep our friends and family up to date on everything in our lives.
Here's what we've been up to!
Trent has been working 12 hour days (7am-7pm) 7 days a week for the last few weeks so Madeline and I haven't seen him much. Most nights Madeline is already in bed when he gets home at around 8:15. He's working on a project that will extend one of the runways at the airport to allow the huge airplanes (I can't remember which one...airbus maybe?) to land at Hartsfield. They are on a tight schedule so this is why the long hours and no days off. Hopefully things will be back to normal at the end of May.

Madeline and I have enjoyed the nice weather lately and have spent a lot of time at the park and in the backyard. We've been going to Sims Lake Park in Suwanee. There's a nice walking trail and a playground with a baby swing for Madeline. Madeline loves the swing. My manager at work was nice enough to give me a swing, like the one at the park, that she didn't need anymore so I plan on hanging it on the porch soon so we can swing at home!
I've started walking again and hope to get into shape to do Muddy Buddy this June (and to drop some of the Dairy Queen lbs I added on in my last few months of pregnancy) with my neighbor Jessica again this year. We competed 2 years ago but couldn't last year because I was pretty pregnant last June! My goal is to start waking up early next week and walk/run on the treadmill each morning before Madeline wakes up.

The most exciting thing that's happened this week is Madeline started crawling! She's been getting into the crawling stance for a few weeks now but Thursday she made a few moves forward and now she's off! Oh, how my world has changed in a matter of days! I'm so used to putting her down in one spot and her staying there. Those days are long gone! The baby proofing has begun. Any tips or suggestions on baby proofing?
